WORKSHOP: Ceramic Butter Dish (2 Part Workshop)

All skill levels are welcome! Join instructors Amanda Flack & Kacee Reed at 4P Studios Pottery Studio to create new memories and a keepsake in clay you will surely cherish for years to come!

This class is perfect for beginner or intermediate clay students looking to learn tips and tricks for successful hand building in clay. Those with more advanced skills will have this session tailored to their experience level. Students will create their own unique hand built item during the first session. The second session is geared towards learning about underglazes and the sgraffito technique.

Students are asked to wear closed toe shoes, clothes they don't mind getting dirty, and to bring a clean towel with them to class (in most cases, the clay will wash out of clothing and towels).

Please keep in mind that pottery is a process. The time you will spend in class is for learning beginner/intermediate skills and for making your beautiful creations. The pieces you will create during this session will need to be bisque fired once your class is completed and they are fully dry (in the greenware state). This will take roughly 1-2 weeks.

At the end of your session, your instructor will have you select your glaze choices from a selection of studio glazes. Your bisqued works will then be glaze fired, which will take another 1-2 weeks for completed pieces to be ready for pick up in their finished state. The anticipated time from the end of your class for the studio to contact you to pick up your completed projects is about 4-6 weeks. Your patience is appreciated.

In most cases all works created will be food safe, your instructor will confirm this when the works are picked up.

For the sake of longevity - we strongly recommend you handwash your items.

We do not recommend using your pieces in the microwave.
